If an Offer Says It’s Available at a Retailer Near Me, Does That Mean It’s In Stock?

Edited

Not necessarily.

When the Hummingbirds platform shows a retailer near you, it means the Brand has indicated that the product should be carried at that retailer location.

However, we cannot guarantee that the product is currently in stock when you visit.

How Does Hummingbirds Know Where Products Are Available?

When a Brand launches an Offer or Campaign, they provide Hummingbirds with information about where their products are typically sold.

We use that information to show nearby retailers that are likely to carry the product.

Why Might a Product Not Be Available?

Retail inventory changes constantly.

Products may be:

  • Sold out

  • Waiting to be restocked

  • Temporarily unavailable

  • Located in a back room that hasn’t been stocked yet

  • Delayed due to shipping or inventory issues

Unfortunately, retailers use their own inventory systems, and Hummingbirds does not have access to real-time inventory information.

Because of this, we can’t guarantee whether a product is currently available at a specific store location.

How Can I Check Before Visiting a Store?

If you’re making a special trip to purchase a product, we recommend:

  1. Checking the retailer’s store locator or inventory tools, if available

  2. Calling the store directly to confirm the product is currently in stock

Calling the store is often the most reliable way to verify availability before making a trip.

Our Recommendation

The easiest way to use Offers is to incorporate them into your normal shopping routine.

Instead of making a special trip for every Offer, consider:

  • Saving Offers you’re interested in

  • Checking your saved Offers before your next shopping trip

  • Looking for those products while you’re already at the store

This can help you discover products you’d like to try while avoiding unnecessary trips for products that may be temporarily out of stock.

What If I Can’t Find the Product?

If you can’t find a product at one retailer, you may want to:

  • Check another nearby eligible retailer

  • Ask a store employee for assistance

  • Check back on a future shopping trip

Many products are restocked regularly, and availability can change from day to day.

Remember: retailer availability and inventory are ultimately managed by the retailer, not Hummingbirds.
