Campaign Deadlines, Extensions, and Perk Eligibility

Edited

Meeting campaign deadlines is an important part of participating in Hummingbirds campaigns.

Completing your campaign on time helps brands receive content when expected, keeps campaign timelines moving, and helps you remain eligible for the full campaign perk.

This article explains:

  • when your campaign must be completed

  • how extensions work

  • when revisions must be completed

  • how deadlines affect the second portion of your perk

  • what happens if you complete a campaign late

When is my campaign due?

Your campaign deadline is included in:

  • the campaign details

  • your campaign confirmation email

  • campaign reminders from Hummingbirds

Unless Hummingbirds provides you with an approved extension date, all required content must be posted and submitted by the original campaign deadline.

Creators are responsible for reviewing their campaign confirmation email and understanding the required deliverables, posting instructions, and deadline before participating.

What does it mean to complete a campaign correctly?

To complete a campaign correctly, you must:

  • complete all required deliverables

  • ensure posts are live on your grid (no trial reels)

  • follow all campaign requirements

  • include all required tags, hashtags, disclosures, links, or other elements

  • submit your content to the Hummingbirds platform as instructed

  • complete any requested revisions within the allowed timeframe

Posting content alone does not necessarily mean the campaign has been completed correctly.

Content that is missing a required deliverable or does not meet the campaign requirements may require revisions before the campaign can be considered complete.

What do I need to do to receive the second portion of my perk?

For campaigns using perk splitting, creators receive part of the perk before completing the campaign and the remaining portion after the campaign is completed correctly. This is typically sent 1 week after the campaign deadline.

To remain eligible for the second portion of your perk, you must:

  • complete all required deliverables

  • make sure your content meets the campaign requirements

  • complete any requested revisions

  • post to your feed (trial reels are not accepted)

  • upload all content to the Hummingbirds platform

  • complete the campaign by the original campaign deadline or an approved extension date provided by Hummingbirds

The latest possible deadline for posting content or completing revisions is six days after the original campaign deadline.

If the campaign is not completed correctly by the original deadline or the approved extension date provided by Hummingbirds, you will become ineligible for the second portion of your perk.

What if my content needs revisions?

Creators should carefully review all campaign requirements before posting.

If your content does not meet the requirements, Hummingbirds may ask you to make revisions. Examples may include:

  • adding a missing disclosure

  • correcting a required tag or hashtag

  • adding a missing campaign talking point

  • updating content that does not meet a stated requirement

  • completing a required deliverable that was not submitted

Any requested revisions must be completed by the original campaign deadline or the approved extension date provided by Hummingbirds.

The absolute latest deadline Hummingbirds can provide for revisions is six days after the original campaign deadline. This six-day limit is based on the original campaign deadline, not the date the revision request is sent.

For example, if your original campaign deadline is July 10, the latest possible date for completing revisions is July 16, even if the revision request is sent after July 10.

Posting the original content before the deadline does not preserve your perk eligibility if required revisions are not completed within the allowed timeframe.

If revisions are not completed by the applicable deadline, you will not receive the second portion of your perk.

What if I need an extension?

Extensions may be approved in certain situations, but they are not guaranteed.

Creators must contact Hummingbirds before the campaign deadline to request additional time.

In most cases, 3 days is the longest extension we're able to provide unless there are circumstances that justify longer. This ensure that if revisions are required, there is still time to complete these.

The absolute latest deadline we can provide for posting content or completing revisions is six days after the original campaign deadline. We are not able to approve extensions beyond this date.

All required content, deliverables, and revisions must be completed by the specific date provided to remain eligible for the second portion of your perk.

Receiving an extension does not automatically mean you have six additional days.

For example:

  • Your original campaign deadline is July 10.

  • The latest possible extension date is July 16.

  • Hummingbirds may approve an earlier extension date, such as July 13 or July 15.

  • You must complete all required content and revisions by the specific date provided.

  • Hummingbirds cannot extend your perk-eligibility deadline beyond July 16.

Please contact us as early as possible if you believe you may need an extension. Waiting until after the deadline may prevent us from being able to help.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

If you do not complete the campaign correctly by the original deadline or approved extension date, you will become ineligible for the second portion of your perk.

However, you may generally still complete the campaign during the following week so that it does not negatively impact your completion rate.

This means there are two different timelines to understand.

Perk Eligibility Deadline

To receive the second portion of your perk, all required content and revisions must be completed by:

  • the original campaign deadline, or

  • the approved extension date provided by Hummingbirds

The approved extension date will never be more than six days after the original campaign deadline.

Once this deadline passes, your eligibility for the remaining portion of the perk cannot be restored by completing the campaign later.

Completion Rate Window

If you miss the perk eligibility deadline, you may generally still have up to one additional week to complete the missing content or revisions.

Completing the campaign during this additional window may allow the campaign to count positively toward your completion rate.

However, completing the campaign during this additional week will not make you eligible for the second portion of your perk.

This additional window is provided to give creators an opportunity to fulfill their campaign commitments and protect their completion history. It is not an additional perk-payment extension.

What if I only complete part of the campaign?

Partial completion does not count as completing the campaign correctly.

Examples of partial or incomplete campaigns include:

  • posting only Stories when a feed post or Reel is also required

  • posting a Reel or feed post but not completing the required Stories

  • missing a required deliverable

  • posting content that does not meet the campaign requirements

  • failing to submit your content to the Hummingbirds platform

  • not completing requested revisions by the deadline

If the campaign is not fully completed by the original deadline or approved extension date, you will not be eligible for the second portion of your perk.

You may generally still complete the missing items during the following week to protect your completion rate.

What if I contact Hummingbirds after the deadline?

Please contact Hummingbirds before the campaign deadline if you are experiencing an issue.

Reaching out after the deadline does not guarantee that an extension can be approved or that perk eligibility can be restored.

This includes situations involving:

  • scheduling conflicts

  • illness or personal emergencies

  • confusion about campaign requirements

  • difficulty creating or posting content

  • technical problems

  • product availability concerns

We understand that unexpected situations can happen. Communicating early gives us the best opportunity to review the situation and help determine the appropriate next steps.

A Note About Communication

The most important thing creators can do is communicate with us early.

If you are confused about a requirement, having trouble completing your content, waiting on information, or concerned that you may miss the deadline, please reach out before the campaign is due.

Our goal is to help creators succeed while maintaining clear and consistent expectations for everyone participating in Hummingbirds campaigns.
