My Instagram Story Expired—What Should I Do?

Edited

If your Instagram story expired before you were able to upload it to the Hummingbirds platform, there are two ways to resolve it:

Option 1: Post a New Story

You can repost your story to Instagram and then upload it to the platform as usual. Be sure the new post includes the required tags outlined in the campaign details.

Option 2: Reshare the Original from Your Archive

If you prefer not to create a new post, you can reshare the expired story from your archive:

  • Open Instagram and go to your profile

  • Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top right

  • Select “Archive”

  • Find the story you'd like to reshare

  • Reshare it to your story

  • Return to the Hummingbirds platform to upload it

Important Reminder

Instagram stories must be uploaded to the platform while they are live on Instagram (within the 24-hour window). If the system can't detect a live story, it won't be marked complete.
