Got a Whistle card for a Sam's Club campaign and wondering how to use it? You’re in the right place. Whether you're shopping in-store or using Sam's Club Scan & Go™, here’s a quick guide to help you redeem your perks.

First Things First: What’s a Whistle Card?

A Whistle card is a prepaid digital Visa card you receive as a perk for participating in certain Hummingbirds campaigns. You can use it just like any regular Visa card—online or in-store—until the balance runs out. Here's more info on that.

How to Use Your Whistle Card In-Store at Sam's Club

You have three easy ways to pay with your Whistle card at Sam's Club:

Option 1: Add it to Sam's Club Scan & Go™,

Sam's Club Scan & Go™, is a contactless payment method. It’s super convenient and works directly from your phone!

Here’s how:

  1. Download the Sam's Club Scan & Go™ App (if you haven’t already).

  2. Open the app and tap “Account” > “Wallet.”

  3. Select “Add a new payment method” and choose Visa.

  4. Enter your Whistle card details (card number, expiration, CVV).

  5. Once at the store, Tap Scan & Go™ Select Scan & Go™ at the bottom of the screen.

  6. Scan item barcodes as you add products to your cart.

  7. Check out directly in the app, then show your exit code on your way out.

Note: You’ll need to log into your Whistle account to grab your card number, expiration date, and CVV in order to add it to the Sam's Club App.

Once at the club, open the Sam’s Club app and click the Scan & Go™ icon at the bottom To shop, scan the barcode of each item as you go. When you're ready, slide the bar to pay in the app. Skip the checkout lines and head to the door with your digital receipt.

Option 2: Pay Your Way + Use Whistle Funds Elsewhere

If you prefer not to use either of this option at Sam's Club you can always pay with your preferred method of personal payment and use the funds on your Whistle card to shop elsewhere!

Option 3: Request a Physical Card from Whistle Rewards

If you have at least 7–9 days before your campaign deadline and still have plenty of time to create and upload your content, you can request a physical Whistle Rewards card. Once it arrives, you can use it just like any other Visa debit card at millions of locations worldwide.

If your campaign window is ending soon, we strongly recommend choosing Option 1 or Option 2 instead so you don’t run into delays with posting.

How to request your physical Whistle Rewards card:

  • Open your Whistle app and go to your digital wallet.

  • On the bottom left of the wallet screen, tap the account management menu.

  • Select “Request a Physical Card.”

  • Complete the short form with your mailing information.

  • Review and accept the Cardholder Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Electronic Signature Agreement.

Delivery timeline:
Your card will typically arrive within 5 to 7 business days once your request is processed.

Where you can use it:
Your Whistle Rewards card works anywhere Visa is accepted, both online and in-store, at more than 30 million retailers worldwide.
