How to Upload Your Campaign Content if We Can’t Retrieve It from Instagram: Upload the file you already have
This is the file you exported from your editing app before posting.
✓ Check this first. Open your post on Instagram and your saved copy side by side. If you added text, filters, or voiceover inside Instagram after importing your file, your saved copy will not have them. If the two look different, use Get your saved copy from Instagram instead.
⚠️ Use the file from your editing app. Downloads from Instagram come with a watermark on them unless you save a copy of them BEFORE you post them.
Where to find your file
Edits (the separate Instagram app)
Open your project.
Click Next
Choose download to your device's camera roll. Do not choose "share to Instagram."
Instagram's guide: Download and share your video from Edits
CapCut
CapCut saves your video to your phone's gallery when you export. If you need to export it again:
Open the project.
Tap the export arrow, top right.
Set resolution to 1080p and frame rate to 30fps.
Tap Export. It saves to your camera roll.
iPhone and Android work the same way here. If the export button is missing or the export fails, CapCut's guides cover both:
Canva
Open your design.
On desktop, go to File, then Download. On your phone, tap the download icon at the top right.
Under File type, choose MP4 Video for video, or PNG or JPG for a photo.
Tap Download.
Canva looks slightly different on desktop, iPhone and Android. Their guide covers all three: Downloading designs as video or GIF
Any other app
Look for Export, Download or Save to device. Save the file to your camera roll.
Then upload it
Go back to your submission.
Tap Upload photo or video.
Choose your file.
Finish the rest of your submission as normal.
Your file then goes to review along with the rest of your submission.
