How to Upload Your Campaign Content if We Can’t Retrieve It from Instagram: Rebuild and Repost
Making your content again is the only route left, because no version of it without the music exists. When music is added inside Instagram, Instagram merges it into the file permanently, so there is nothing clean to recover, either from your phone or from an Instagram export.
We know that is a real ask, and we do not make it lightly.
⚠️ Read your campaign brief again before you start. Before you recreate your content, confirm it passes every requirement in the Campaign Brief so you only have to do this once.
What to do
Make it again in a free app you can export from, such as CapCut, Canva or Edits. Do not build it inside Instagram, or you may end up in the same place.
Use original audio. Do not use music from Instagram's library.
Export it and save it to your camera roll. Keep this file. It is what you will upload to us.
Delete your original post.
Post the new version.
Come back and upload the file from step 3.
If you would rather build inside Instagram, save it as a draft and download it from there before you post: Save a post as a draft
What you lose, plainly
Deleting your original post removes the likes and comments it has collected. There is no way around that, which is why this is the last option rather than the first.
Then upload it
Go back to your submission in Hummingbirds.
Tap Upload photo or video.
Choose your file.
Finish the rest of your submission as normal.
Your file then goes to review along with the rest of your submission.
