Troubleshooting connecting Facebook to the platform
It's possible that your Facebook account is accidentally a professional account!
We noticed a few birds have professional accounts but don't realize it. Even our CEO and co-founder didn't! If you want to fully connect your social accounts to the Hummingbirds platform (required to get an Enhanced Profile), follow the steps in the video below to switch your Facebook to a personal account.

After, you should be able to reconnect and be good to go!
If you're still having trouble, try these steps:
Remove the Hummingbirds app from Facebook by going to Settings and Privacy > Settings > Business integrations, then clicking remove on Hummingbirds Insights.
Ensure you're only signed into the Facebook account you want to connect on your device.
Reconnect from within Hummingbirds by navigating to My Profile > Social Networks and clicking "Connect Your Account" under Instagram.
Be sure to toggle on Media permissions when prompted, as this allows your content to be pulled into the Hummingbirds platform.
If issues persist, try using a desktop browser instead of a mobile device.
If you want to keep a professional FB account:
With the platform updates, it is only possible for the Hummingbirds platform to pull Facebook content from personal pages. As you may have noticed, fewer campaigns require Facebook, but it will not be guaranteed for campaigns.
If you want a professional account, you can absolutely keep it and continue posting there - just let us know so we can track any Facebook content manually. That being said, please fully disconnect your professional Facebook account from your bird profile.
If you have a personal Facebook page you're willing to connect your hummingbirds account to instead, that will allow you to get an enhanced profile!
Please note that connecting a Facebook account is optional and not required for most campaigns. If you choose not to connect Facebook, you can still upload Instagram campaign content to your profile, but you won't have access to the Enhanced Profile feature.
Important: If you have switched to an Enhanced Profile on the Hummingbirds platform, you cannot re-enable professional mode on your Facebook account. To maintain your Enhanced Profile status and allow Hummingbirds to access data from your social media posts, you must keep your Facebook settings as they are, without professional mode enabled.
If you prefer to keep your professional Facebook account, be aware that you may need to manually verify your content or upload links to your posts within 24 hours of posting to mark them as complete for campaigns. This is because the platform cannot automatically detect posts from professional accounts.
