Do Stories Require Hashtags?

Nope — hashtags are not required in your Instagram Stories!
We do recommend tagging the brand in your Stories so they can easily see and potentially reshare your content, but adding hashtags is totally optional. In fact, we find that hashtags can sometimes look a little out of place in the Story format.
When Are Hashtags Required?
Hashtags are required for your main Post or Reel as part of your campaign participation. They help your content get discovered and ensure it meets the campaign’s goals.
